The snow was really coming coming down ( I know I’m from Florida so it probably wasn’t that bad) but, I was nervous and questioned whether (and weather) I should drive to the state park down a curvy steep road that is now snow covered. Well, I’m a nut so I said I’m going for it.
We geared up and went into the visitor center. Spoke with the ranger and looked around. I paid the entrance and told the ranger if I wasn’t back in an hour to come looking for me and we set out on the trail to the caves.
All the signage was snow covered.
So I found another use for the doggy poopy bags, I slipped the ( unused of course) bag over my gloved hand and wiped the snow off the signs. So, my gloves stayed dry!
The walk up to the cave was not too bad.
The pictographs themselves were difficult to make out.
The trail continued after the main cave.
Saw these deer on the way out.
Next is Yellowstone National Park!
